National property developer Gibb Group has selected Queensland company De Luca Corporation for construction of the Capricorn Coast Homemaker Centre’s Bunnings Warehouse.
The proposed multi-million-dollar Bunnings Warehouse development is expected to provide an estimated 100 construction jobs and more than 60 operational jobs upon completion.
The $35 million Capricorn Coast Homemaker Centre (Stage 1) is being developed on Yeppoon Rd adjacent to the Tanby Rd roundabout in the Livingstone Shire.
The master-planned estate has been designed with the capacity to develop a range of large format retail premises, and is already home to a purpose-built Reece Plumbing Centre.
De Luca was selected for the Bunnings build from a shortlist of five, prequalified tenderers, Gibb Group said.
Gibb Group said progress on the development was moving smoothly, with development approval obtained from Livingstone Shire Council, and the operational works application submitted.
With De Luca’s appointment announced, the detailed design phase can now commence.
Gibb Group said it would commence formal marketing to lease the final
remaining tenancy of 155sq m, located adjacent to Hungry Jacks and Gus’ Coffee.Gibb Group is an Australian property developer and asset manager with Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Western Australia projects.
