Gibb Group secured a long-term pre-lease with international supply chain leader, CHEP (a Brambles Company), in 2021 for their South Australian Pallet Repair, Wash and Service Centre.
The facility is located in Direk, in Adelaide’s Industrial North, offering unparalleled access to the National Highway network including the Northern Expressway, and is in close proximity to the Penfield Intermodal Freight Facility.
The facility includes the latest CHEP repair equipment and can handle more than 4 million pallets annually, with capacity to store 350,000 pallets on external hardstand areas.
Completed in April 2023 and officially opened by Premier Peter Malinauskas in September 2023, the 11,890sqm facility was sold in 2025 to a private investor for $31 million. The site remains CHEP’s major SA service centre under a lease secured until 2038.
