With over 25 years of experience in industrial and commercial property, Matthew’s vast expertise and professional acumen has been honed in high level roles across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. As Managing Director of Japan at Goodman Funds Management Limited, he was responsible for Goodman’s Japan operations until 2009. In 8 years with Goodman, Matthew established the group’s strong presence in Melbourne and led the business into the Adelaide, Perth and Asian markets. Previously, Matthew was with international property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle in Adelaide, Melbourne and the United Kingdom for 7 years. He is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and Member of the Real Estate Institutes for both Victoria and South Australia.
Matthew’s responsibilities include sourcing sites, resolving design briefs and managing all aspects of the commercial development process through to completion. He is in charge of all investor and client liaison, as well as the ongoing management of property investments.
Matthew joined Gibb Group in 2013 as the National Development Director, to manage delivery of the group’s developments. Matthew has over 17 years of experience delivering high quality client outcomes within the private sector and capital works projects for some of Australia’s largest companies including Woolworths Ltd and Westfield Ltd (now Scentre Group).
Within Gibb Group, he has delivered circa $100M of Industrial and commercial developments in Central Queensland (Toll NQX Logistics Facility, Gracemere Industry Park), North Queensland (Mainfreight Distribution Facility, Northline Distribution Facility, Recall Document Storage Facility and the Bayswater Rd commercial development), Northern Territory (Northline Distribution Facility) and South Australia (Northline Distribution Facility).
As Gibb Group’s Managing Director (QLD), Glen is responsible for running and growing Gibb Group’s office in Townsville, sourcing sites, resolving design briefs and servicing the company’s Queensland projects and growth objectives. Integral to this is the day-to-day leasing, sales and marketing management and overseeing the asset management of the group’s Queensland projects.
Michael is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance. Michael spent the majority of his career with Ernst and Young in a senior leadership position providing tax and business advisory services to privately held businesses.
Before joining Gibb Group, Michael was CEO of a family office with a large real estate asset portfolio.
As Chief Financial Officer, Michael is responsible for Gibb Group’s overall financial management, tax and statutory reporting.
As a career property professional with in excess of fifteen years’ experience in the industry, Lisa has worked for large corporate and institutional property companies, including Goodman, AMP and CBRE. She has worked directly with industrial and commercial property funds, private clients and tenants, and built up to leading large asset management teams, providing comprehensive professional services to manage a $2 billion property portfolio. At Gibb Group, Lisa is responsible for all operational aspects associated with running the Asset Management department, growing the assets under management, overseeing all aspects of financial performance, refurbishment and repositioning of assets, and assisting clients with disposal and acquisition of assets. She shares this responsibility for leadership and management with another director, with whom she has previously worked.
With over fifteen years in industrial and commercial – both on the landlord and occupier side – Gerald’s experience covers the full spectrum of the property lifecycle. With an in-depth understanding of the supply chain industry, occupier drivers and current trends, he is a specialist in quality, outcome-focused asset management, as well as repositioning secondary assets in conjunction with complex leasing transactions. At Gibb Group he is responsible for the growth and leadership of the facilities management function of the business, for both our portfolio and our asset management services business. Sharing responsibility for the management of the asset portfolio with another director, duties include property management, leasing and assisting clients with disposal and acquisition of assets. In addition, he is responsible for operations within our asset management services division, which includes WHS&E, finance and IT, and licensing and compliance.
Rebecca has over ten years’ experience in office administration working as a corporate paralegal. Rebecca has worked with corporate boutique and top tier firms in both Australia and Canada, with a focus on Commercial Leasing, Franchising and Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.
As Gibb Group’s Business Operations Manager, Rebecca is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business including all HR and IT related matters. Rebecca also ensures regulatory compliance, maintains insurances and risk management as well as being responsible for all marketing and PR for the groups activities.
Shane started his career working as an Accountant in private practice and brings 10 years of experience in this field. Shane made the transition into the property sector in 2012 and has proven to be an integral part of Asset Management divisions in managing Trust Accounting functions. Shane started as a Portfolio Accountant at Jones Lang LaSalle in Adelaide, which then led him to manage the Trust Accounting division at Leedwell Property. His experience and exposure to high worth assets are the foundation of the importance that he places on attention to detail in every facet of financial services in the property industry.
Shane has experience working across Commercial, Industrial and Retail assets nationally and prides himself in preparing specialised financials reports to suit end users. He is relationship focused and has a strong commitment to ensuring the utmost satisfaction from clients.
Shane studied Commerce at the University of Adelaide and has undertaken his Property Services qualifications through the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. This has enabled Shane to mix both of his passions; Accounting and Property. Shane manages the Portfolio and Fund Accounting functions in addition to managing Gibb Group’s Retail and Office assets in Victoria.
Clare has specialised in Commercial Property Management for in excess of 20 years and during this time has attained a Graduate Certificate in Commercial Property Management, Certificate in Business, Workplace Health & Safety Certificate IV, Strata Title Management and is a licensed real estate agent.
During her extensive career, Clare has worked for companies such as ISPT Pty Ltd, MAB Corporation, Trilogy Funds Management as well as Lease Manager for the State of Qld. Clare has been responsible for facilitating many refurbishments and repositioning of assets, negotiating major lease renewals as well continuing to deliver on the day to day machinations of commercial property management. Clare has strong experience as a result of her many years in the property sector and is well recognised in the local region for her commitment and ability and enjoys building close long term relationships with clients and tenants alike.
Angus has over 15 years of experience in the procurement and delivery of projects in Australia, Europe and South America. Angus played key roles in the master planning and design of a $330M shopping centre redevelopment and delivering a $200M shopping centre redevelopment in Western Australia, delivering the €165M redevelopment of the world wide head office for Shell and the delivery of the technically complex head European production data center for one of the worlds largest IT hardware providers.
At Gibb Group, Angus is responsible for the delivery of the group’s developments and will support the Managing Director and National Development Director in achieving the group’s broader project delivery and acquisition objectives.
With almost 20 years’ experience in property and administration roles, Andrew is a true property and facilities management professional. His extensive industry background includes a Facilities Manager role at Stockland Yennora, managing a portfolio of over $700 million, in addition to onsite management and supervision roles at distribution and CBD facilities.
Throughout his Property Management history, Andrew has managed a portfolio of over 600 commercial and residential properties.
At Gibb Group, he is responsible for facilities management of the group’s portfolio in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide – which includes all contractor management and procurement activities, property presentation, management of the company’s health and safety program with contractors, and ensuring customers’ day to day operational needs are met.
Josh has completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Project Management with Honours at the University of South Australia. Josh undertook his university industry experience with Gibb Group and then moved into a role as Graduate Project Manager.
His role as Graduate Project Manager will see him obtain a holistic understanding of the property lifecycle, gaining experience in Asset Management and Property Acquisition and Development. His responsibilities include providing support to the National Development Director whilst assisting in achieving group development and acquisition goals and objectives.
Elaine is a qualified CPA and CIMA accountant with over 20 years’ experience in managing finance departments across multiple industries within Australia and the United Kingdom.
Based in our Perth office Elaine is responsible for managing the day to day financial activities of the business including preparation of management accounts, budgeting and cash flow management.
Elaine also maintains our financial controls and accounting software systems, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.
As Gibb Group’s Property & Administration Coordinator, Rebecca is responsible for the day to day administration of the Townsville office. She also assists the property team with the preparation of marketing presentations and proposals, compilation of end of month reports including works in progress and expenditure to budget and ensures accurate document control with regards to leases, bank guarantees and other legal documentation.
